Delete Account

SmartSecure allows users to deactivate their account directly inside the app.

Users can manage account status by going to:

When this option is selected, the account is *soft deleted only*. This means:

  • Your account will be marked as *inactive/deleted
  • Access to the account may be restricted or disabled
  • Your data will be retained in our system

Using the Delete Account option does *not* permanently erase your stored data.

We retain account and transaction-related records to preserve important relationship history and system integrity, including records such as:

  • Devices or phones you sold
  • Devices or phones you purchased
  • Ownership transfer history
  • Linked transaction records between users
  • Fraud prevention and dispute resolution
  • Legal or compliance requirements

Deleting these records could affect transaction history and relationships between buyers, sellers, and device records.
